Regional QESH Manager

The Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health Manager is responsible for understanding current regulatory and product code requirements as it applies to the operation. They must be capable of identifying or creating operational amendments so as to comply with regulatory & product code requirements. Oversee the Region's objective of zero recordable injuries.
Develops environmental, safety, health & quality assurance systems for region wide application.
Responsible for the completion of internal audits of both programs. The ES&H Auditing issues include annual audits at all sites. (self audits and internal corporate audits) This position also requires core auditor status to complete audits outside the home Region.
Facilitate the training of new & transferred personnel to Lifecycle Services programs as well as recurrent training for present employees. Advise and train the Region on the correct safety procedures which include not only safety related training topics such as LOTO, Breaking pressure path, but the ability to interpret a Material Safety Data Sheet for a given process stream. Assure that customer safety & quality requirements are met via review & submittal of customer pre-qualification documents. Prepare and present to customers.
Administer proper accident investigation procedures and administer to personnel worker's compensation and vehicle collision repair issues.
Disseminates corporate policy & procedure as it pertains to ESH & QA as well as the policies to line management for communication.
Functions as a liaison between Lifecycle Services and federal, state, & local authorities from a regional standpoint.
Administers ESH & QA documentation (training records, calibration records, facility inspections, etc., personnel health records, etc.) for the region.
Additional Information
General office 80% of the time, general manufacturing 20% of the time
Travel 25% to 40% of the time by both car and airplane
Tools include: desktop computer, laptop computer, cell phone, land phone, LCD projector, personal digital assistant. May need to use sampling equipment (i.e., dosimeter, velometer, drager pump)
Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university, Master's degree preferred.
Practical knowledge of regulatory requirements as it pertains to the environment, employee safety, or employee health.
Practical knowledge of general product manufacturing code requirements and ISO 9000 program.
Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Good risk management skills when dealing with insurance systems.
Good computer system skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
