Overall JobFunction: Providessupport to the Imports Manager and allocation team to maintain continuous flowof inbound containers. Will step in role of Imports Manager in in his/herabsence.
JobResponsibility including but not limited to:
Enters shipping documents and freight bills by using computer programs such as Microsoft Office and KEA
Monitors receipt of commercial documents for each container
Oversees timely filing of entries for customs clearance.
Involved in daily E-Mail communication and follow-up with overseas offices
Monitors deliveries of goods through Imports department procedures
Tracks air shipments
Monitors and tracks Imports of display material, shopping bags, totes, hangers etc.
Oversees filing of important legal internal documents into import files
Maintains close liaison among agents, brokers, steamship lines, truckers and warehouse to ensure oversight of imports
Analyzes data within reports for country statistics.
Creates and maintains detailed spreadsheets to track and update information on the container plan, and air freight in the department
Oversees On-Line orders advising in "Start" System.
Monitors and tracks delivery of On-Line orders
Maintains accurate and up to date available information in "Start" system
Communicates effectively with brokers/freight forwarders, US Customs and service providers
Improves supply chain related processes
Assists with training of Imports support staff.
Acts as primary point of contact for U.S. Customs matters, including C-TPAT Basic knowledge of Knowledge of International Trade laws and regulations ? In absence of Impex Manager.
Responsible for overseeing the department in event of Imports Manager absence.
FinancialAccountability: Will share Management of budget for U.S. Importsoperations under direction of Imports Manager.
MinimumCandidate Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of a high school diploma. Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience in Imports.
Must have knowledge and understanding of shipping documents, broker invoices and freight invoices
Competencies:
Working knowledge of HTSUS and 19CFR
Strong analytical, critical thinking skills and a business savvy mentality.
Detail oriented, with strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to company specific systems.
Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to work as part of a team
Strong problem solving skills and decision-making abilities

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
