Our client, a leader in the retail industry is looking to hire an Inventory Manager for their Burlington, NJ location. The Manager of Inventory Control will support the Assistant Controller - Merchandise in the overall daily operations of the Inventory Control Department, including maintaining accuracy of stock ledger data, its updates and all related controls, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of the monthly financial close responsibilities, assist Loss Prevention and Store Operations in coordination of physical inventories across the organization's warehouses and stores, coordination with internal and external auditors for periodic reviews and SOX compliance, support all corporate, store and DC inventory flows and initiatives. The Manager will also oversee the preparation of client assistance deliverables for quarterly and annual financial statement audits, as well as in other special projects. This role will require heavy interfaces with Business Units, Finance and Supply Chain and Merchandise Departments.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks may include:
Ensure completeness and accuracy of inventory transactions for stores, DC's and fulfillment operations (includes sales, markdowns, transfers, claims, receipts, shipments, and adjustments)
Oversight for timely and accurate financial close responsibilities, including inventory valuation, margin analysis, three way match reconciliation and recording of inventory transfers and receipts
Assist in Physical Inventory Reconciliations and analysis in addition to coordinate timing, execution and reporting of physical inventory as required as we as providing shrink reporting for business units as required
Ensure compliance with existing and develop/document new policies and procedures governing stock ledger maintenance and control. Partner with Corporate Finance to ensure that policies are in accordance with internal accounting practices and GAAP.
Develop and maintain partner relationships with business units and corporate stakeholders (IT, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, etc.)
Develop and direct process improvement initiatives and monitoring controls within functional area. Escalate and resolve issues proactively.
Assist in development of staff for functional areas

Demonstrated understanding of the inventory flow and inventory accounting policies
Ability to effectively communicate with management, peers and external parties
Ability to lead a team toward a common goal
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work within deadlines and utilize resources to meet those deadlinesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
