Inventory Specialist

My client is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Specialist to join their team who will be responsible for maintaining accurate records for all raw materials, components, and finished goods across all facilities.

My client is a leading dairy and plant protein manufacturer focused on powder based functional and nutritional solutions for food, beverage, and nutrition markets.
They make dairy proteins like caseins, milk and whey protein for use in bakery, beverage, frozen desserts, confectionery and food industries!

Description

  • Responsible for the awareness, accuracy, and Inter-Company (ICT) movement of all raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts across all facilities to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system, ensuring data integrity and timely updates.
  • Manage the Post Production Inventory (PPI) process.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices to optimize inventory levels and minimize excess stock.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including issues related to shipment errors, returns, and damages.
  • Prepare and present regular inventory reports to management, highlighting key metrics such as stock turnover rates, inventory accuracy, and aging stock.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing inventory management processes.
  • Facilitate year end physical inventory across all facilities

Profile

  • The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of inventory management practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years of experience in inventory management or similar role.

  • Manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
