2 Full-time 1 day ago Full Job Description LOCATION 1830 Route 130 North Burlington NJ US 08016 Overview Burlington is seeking an operational and strategic Senior Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis who can serve as a thought partner to the EVP, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and the senior leadership team.
The SVP will guide the prioritization of strategic and financial plans, develop the earnings forecast and prioritize capital investment opportunities designed to accelerate the financial performance of the company.
The SVP will direct and oversee financial activities of the company, including FP&A and financial analyses and reporting.
The SVP of Financial Planning & Analysis is the leader of the organization's short- and long-term capital expenditure planning, forecasting and authorization/approval processes and all company-wide strategic finance initiatives/analysis and long-range impacts to the P&L.
This position will partner with the organization on business cases and return on investment projects and provide thought leadership and financial perspective to all capital expense initiatives.
The position will be instrumental in enhancing current processes, strengthening relationships with internal stakeholders, and improving accountability around capital expenditures.
The SVP of Financial Planning & Analysis will be hands-on and highly operational.
S/he will help drive business performance, balancing long-term brand building objectives with near-term financial performance in a consumer-facing, multi-unit environment.
S/he will bring immediate credibility and will run a world class and contemporary finance organization.

Key Accountabilities Oversight and leadership of the finance function, including FP&A and financial analyses and reporting.
This individual must be highly collaborative in developing and implementing financial and operational strategies that help Burlington achieve its desired results.
Serve as a key business partner to the CFO and senior leadership team to drive excellence in operational and financial execution and continual improvement across all core functions and business processes.
Build and maintain a team of A players across the organization by recruiting top talent and fostering a high-performance culture.
Act as a culture ambassador, implementing a strongperformance-based culture based on partnership, accountability, excellence, continuous improvement, and an environment where people want to work.
Proactively communicate with senior management, the Board, and external constituents.
Prepare and support board meeting and earnings call material and documentation.
Ensure accounting and finance practices conform to Company policies, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and all applicable tax laws.
Ensure that internal control systems are maintained at adequate levels consistent with regulatory requirements and best practices for a public company.
Establish best-in-class processes and policies that improve the operational effectiveness of the company.
Establish clear and concise KPIs, spending controls and financial monitoring.
Earn the respect of his or her peers, subordinates, and superiors for his or her integrity, ethics, and ability to set a standard of leadership for others to follow.
The ideal candidate will bring both strategic and operational finance leadership to the organization, serving as a key member of the senior leadership team.
The SVP must be comfortable navigating a complex business and working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to develop appropriate and achievable short- and long-term corporate objectives.
